So much going on in my brew lifestyle.
Getting excited for my 5th annual beer festival here in Boulder Colorado.
This time around I’ve added new breweries and collaborated with some more. Epic Joined the roster of Kyle collaborators. We did a cast conditioned IPA with Spruce tips from the courthouse in Salt Lake City, plus lots of interesting dry hop additions.
And back for the second year, is Fate Brewing. With this gluten reduced, earl gray infused, hopped up wheat. We balanced the malt and hoppiness with the Bergamot flavors and created a truly unique beer. And back for the third season is Winter’s Day IPA that made I with Avery, their traditional IPA infused with Rosemary. YUM!
Of course, we have three beers that relate to my new CD release: The “Hop Tracks” beers. Stone’s Collective Distortion is a double IPA that I made with Alice Cooper’s guitar player. This beer goes to 11 (well actually 9.3). Hoopla from Boulder Beer is a hopped up pale that is perfect for a festival or camping experience. Then finally, “Happening Now IPA”, a session beer from cigar city.
This year has been very good to me as it relates to music and brewing. I’m a very lucky man to be able to connect my two passions so intrinsically. I love connections between brewing and music creation. There’s such a joy in the risk and rewards that come from these two art forms.
